Budding actress, 11-year-old Sianna Cooper from Golborne, makes her TV debut this month after landing a role in a new Netflix drama.
Sianna, who attends Golborne Community Primary school, will appear in Zero Chill, which is released on the streaming platform next Thursday (25 March). Now her proud dad Stephen says she’s on her way to her ultimate ambition, which is to become a successful actress and maybe even star alongside her idol, Rebel Wilson.
Filming for Zero Chill took place in Sheffield last year. Sianna spent two days on set filming her scenes in the drama, a ‘tween’ sports drama aimed at older children and teenagers. The series is made by Lime Pictures and also stars Grace Beedie, Dakota Benjamin Taylor and Jade Ma. Sianna’s scenes come in episode 6.
Sianna became involved after excelling at her drama classes with SmallScreen talent in Wigan and Manchester. Under her coach, Ross Adams – who plays Scott Drinkwell in Hollyoaks – she has been taking the classes for around 18 months – and now hopes her appearance in Zero Chill is just the first of many more to come.
Dad Stephen Cooper says the experience of being on set filming with the show was an extremely exciting one for Sianna. He said: “She had an amazing time on set with a PA, trailer, make-up artist etc, and learned so much about what goes into a production of a series, in addition to speaking to the other stars.
“This was her first appearance on TV and she was so excited to be on a real TV set. Her favourite part of the filming scene was the slime fight she got to be in, as she got to throw slime at the main characters!”
We think you’ve got a big career ahead, Sianna!
Don’t forget to download Zero Chill and see her TV debut – it’s available to download from next week.
