A rip roaring time was had a 1920s themed party night organised by local group, Leigh Lions.
The group, who do good deeds in the local community, let their hair down for a night of Peaky Blinders style Charleston dancing at Lowton Social Club.
It was the perfect way to round off the year for the intrepid group, who meet monthly in Lowton.
And, whilst the Leigh Lions are currently just a small band of people, they’re making a big difference locally.
Part of Lions International, the group describe themselves as “ordinary people who do amazing things to help people who need it.”
They have previously fundraised for defibrillators to be installed at Wigan Hospital, helped people who’ve lost everything in house fires and supported a family with a severely epileptic child, ensuring they had all the specialist equipment they needed. They also stepped in when a local Cadet unit in Leigh were burgled, helping them replace euipment so the group could continue to meet.
