Staff at Bridgewater Home Care, which works with many families across Lowton and Golborne, are celebrating the company’s 11th birthday this week.
Bridgewater Home Care is a specialist provider of companionship-focussed domiciliary care, operating across Wigan, Bolton and Warrington. They have been supporting older people and vulnerable adults in our local communities for over a decade, helping clients live more comfortably and independently at home.
Established in 2010, the company’s mission was to ‘Go Above and Beyond’ for their clients and their team, always. 11 years later and with over 100,000 hours of care delivered, and many awards and accolades received, they continue to provide an essential service with a focus on quality and reliability throughout everything they do.

Last year – to mark their 10-year anniversary – Bridgewater were unable to hold a face-to-face event due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, so this year they planned something even better, with lots of cake, celebrating and catching up!
The birthday celebrations are also a time to take stock and congratulate their dedicated care team for their accomplishments and dedication, especially after what has been such a challenging time recently.

It’s certainly been a busy and successful 11 years for Bridgewater. They recently won the Top 20 Homecare Group of 2021 award through homecare.co.uk, but the awards don’t stop there.
The company was also named Best Employer in Care through an independent survey, Customer Service Award, Training Excellence Award, Employer of the Year and the Wellbeing in the Workplace Award.
There have also been many fundraising events, charity days and awareness events held by all Bridgewater offices over the years, including car washes, sponsored steps, bootcamp sessions, fancy dress, cake sales and competitions – all of which Bridgewater staff, their families and friends as well as clients have been involved in, raising funds and awareness for many important causes.
This year Bridgewater Home Care are also proud to have rebranded and relaunched their website and resources for those seeking care at home. After months of working on this project throughout various lockdowns, their brand-new website is now live to help those who are looking for home care, as well as providing additional resources to clients and their own team.
