Residents meeting

Lane Head South Residents Group (LHSRG)

Lane Head South Residents Group (LHSRG) was founded in 2002 to improve both the physical and social aspects of the area skirted by the East Lancs, Warrington Road and Newton Road, including the Winton Road estate, Kenyon Lane and Winwick Lane.

Members meet bi monthly at the Conference Room, the Travelodge, Lane Head, Lowton at 7.15pm for 7.30pm start, and consider issues such as traffic, planning issues and air quality.

This March, the group will be hosting guest speaker, the Commanding Officer of Leigh Fire Station, who’ll talk through proposed changes to its operation.  Also in attendance will be officers of Wigan Council, who will outline the plans to reduce traffic and subsequently improve air quality at Lane Head.

On an ongoing basis, LHSRG also organise annual events including a Carols ‘round the Tree at Christmas, social events such as Darts and Dominoes, quizzes, litter picks and social events on Mount Tabor.

All residents are invited to attend their meetings and events.
