Heath Street Methodist marks Jubilee

by Editor

There’s was Jubilee fun for all ages as Heath Street Methodist Church in Golborne marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at the weekend.

The church held a weekend of celebrations marking the historic milestone.

Some impressive bakes helped the congregation at Heath Street Methodist mark the Jubilee.

The fun started with a special ‘Messy Church’ session for children. It was a chance for them to get creative, with plenty of inspriation provided by the weekend’s celebrations.

There was Jubilee fun for all ages at the Heath Street celebrations.

This was followed with a Coffee Morning, to which all the community were invited.

On Sunday, 5 June, the church dedicated it worship to the theme of the Jubilee, and this was followed with a picnic lunch for all.

Everyone got into the spirit of the Jubilee, with bunting hung, scones baked and the best china brought out for a great British tea service!

Everyone got stuck in to make sure the Jubilee celebrations went off without a hitch.

Of course, Heath Street is no stranger to historic milestones, having celebrated its own 150th anniversary only last year. And we’re sure this isn’t the first time they’ve held Jubilee celebrations during the Queen’s long reign!

What’s next for Heath Street Methodist?

Now the church is looking forward to its next big event, which is on Friday, 1 July, when The Lowton, Golborne and Newton Men’s Choir will perform.

It promises to be a lovely evening of uplifting music, with tickets priced just £3.
