Community groups invited to bid for Redrow fund

by Editor

Community groups and good causes in Lowton could be eligible for financial help from a £2,000 community grants scheme launched by housing developer Redrow.

The company is currently building houses on its new Oakwood Fields development in Lowton.

As part of their contribution to the local area, they are now offering four grants of £500 each to community groups, charities or other good causes based in, or serving, the area around its new development.

The community grants are in addition to more than £400,000 of contributions Redrow will be making towards local infrastructure as part of their planning conditions.

This money will see more than £175,000 going to local schools, £130,000 to local play areas and £110,000 to Pennington Flash Country Park to improve the area for new and existing residents.

How do I apply for the fund?

If you are interested in applying for this funding, email redrowfund@activepr.co.uk to request an application form, stating ‘Oakwood Fields Community Grants’ in the subject line.

But hurry, the deadline for completed applications is midnight on February 21, 2022.
