The first business to move into one of five recently completed new industrial units on the Moss Industrial Estate is now settling in.

Leigh business, Mclaren Sports Homes, which specialises in bespoke sporthomes, race vans and motorhome conversions, are the first tenants to move in to the new Rivington Court industrial units on St. Helen’s Road.

The move marks the competition of the second phase of building at Rivington Court by George Moss and Sons, which will eventually contain thirteen units of mixed sizes, from 2,738 sq ft up to 11,952 sq ft.

Rivington Court is located right in the middle of the industrial estate, which is situated on the edge of Lowton an Leigh, and is being built in three phases, the third and final phase is due to begin construction in the autumn.

Mclaren Sports Homes first moved to Moss Industrial Estate in 2018, at first occupying a much smaller unit, but, due to the rapid growth of the business, it needed more space.

Mclaren’s brand-new premises are double the size, at 4,000 sq ft, and feature three vehicular doors and twice the workshop space, meaning they can work on a larger number of vehicles at the same time. The business has also gained a much bigger office space and larger staff kitchen, to accommodate its growing team, as well as a customer reception area.

Craig Lewis, director at Mclaren Sports Homes, said: “Moss Industrial Estate was able to understand the needs of our growing business and find us an industrial unit which would allow us to increase our efficiency and give us the opportunity to grow. We produce high quality, customised motorhome conversions and this modern unit, on a well-kept industrial estate, reflects really well on our business.”

Sebastian Moss, managing director at George Moss & Sons, said: “Rivington Court is an exciting new development of industrial units, which are completely bespoke and can be fitted out to suit the needs of each individual business.

“We take great care of our tenants and want them to stay with us so if we can help them to grow then we will do everything we can to accommodate that. Maclaren Sports Homes is doing incredibly well and we are really pleased that we have been able to support them by creating a workspace in which they can continue to thrive.”
