If you’re sick of seeing litter in your local area – now is the time to do something about it!
This month, Keep Britain Tidy is appealing for people like you to take part in the Great British September Clean by giving as little as 15 minutes to help pick litter in your local area.
The Great September Clean replaces the charity’s annual ‘Spring Clean’ campaign, which would usually have encouraged mass litter pick events earlier in the year. This didn’t go ahead due to lockdown, but now we’re being asked to do out bit and help keep our local areas tidy this September, instead.
If you have some time to spend clearing your local area of litter, there are two ways to take part:
- Organise a private clean-up with up to five other family and friends.
- Pledge to do your own individual clean-up, you can give as little as 15 minutes to the campaign.
You can find out more about the Great British September Clean on the Keep Britain Tidy website.
Why not spread the word in your local neighbourhood and see if people living nearby want to help litter pick?
Will you be litter picking?
Let us know by emailing news@lowtonandgolbornenews.co.uk and we’ll help spread the word in your local area to encourage others to join in, too.
