Local favourite, the Church Inn on Newton Road, Lowton, finally reopened in September after 19 long months closed and boarded up.
Under new owners – Same Again Pubs Ltd – the pub has been given a new lease of life and once again the bar is buzzing with chat and laughter. There’s a vibrant darts scene, a regular pub quiz, lots of live sport, a packed programme of live music and some fantastic pub grub!
Now the management are heading into their first winter and Christmas season – and they can’t wait to share it with you. With a family friendly atmosphere, the Church Inn prides itself on being a ‘good old fashioned local pub’ – so if you haven’t popped in lately, make sure you give it a try soon.
Great food – now also available to enjoy at home
Since it opened, the Church Inn’s mission has been to provide fantastic value, good old fashioned pub grub!
Customer favourites include steak and ale pie, All Day Breakfast and the Church Inn’s mega Mixed Grill. You can even get two mains for just £12. Or why not enjoy some delicious loaded nachos or a sharing combo next time you pop in for a pint? And of course, Sundays can only mean one thing: Traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings!
Even better – now you can enjoy the Church Inn’s homecooked food at home, too. For those nights when you just can’t be bothered to cook, but you still want delicious, hearty food, the chefs at the Church Inn are ready to come to the rescue! From December, you’ll be able to order from the pub’s menu via Just Eat – which means the food will come to you!

It’s hard to remember those 18 months when the Church Inn was empty and unloved. It’s great that this historic pub is once again a place where local people can meet, make friends and enjoy great nights out. As an independent pub, they’re really able to become part of the fabric of the community.
And there’s plenty of reasons to pop into the Church Inn. As well as their delicious menu there are regular weekly pub quizzes and fortnightly Karaoke evenings as well as live bands performing.

Bring in 2022 at the Church Inn with music from DJ Mervin from 9pm all the way through until 1am.
Pre-booking is a must – call in to the Church Inn now for your tickets. To control numbers pre-booking is neccessary, but you’ll get the cost of your £5 ticket back on the night to use towards your drinks.
