It was Paula Brown’s own 20-year-long battle with weight that inspired her to become a consultant for the 1:1 Diet.
By her own admission, she had tried every diet going – but over the years, even when she lost some weight, she soon found it piling back on again.
“I’ve had clothes from size 20 right down to size 12,” says Paula, from Lowton. “All my children and friends ever heard me say was: ‘I’m on a diet’… again.”
Things really changed for Paula after she took the decision to find a Consultant to help her – and with their support, began the 1.1 diet by Cambridge weight plan.
At first, Paula admits the decision was daunting. “I was so embarrassed when I got on the scales in front of somebody I didn’t know,” she remembers. “I even refused to be told how heavy I was! But my consultant was amazing and put me at ease.”

“In that first week, I lost 6lbs”, Paula says. “So that was it for me, no looking back. I knew this plan was the one I was going to stick to it and lose my weight.”
And sure enough, Paula has now lost an incredible 6 stone on the plan.
“I have never felt as happy as I do now and I can’t ever remember being a size 12. it feels amazing,” she says.
“I’ve had my ups and downs but always managed to stay on track with the support from the groups and Consultant. That’s what inspired me to become a Consultant myself, and help others like me achieve the weight loss that they’ve been struggling with.”
