Fun ‘Out & About’ sessions help older people keep active

Join the new, free, Out and About sessions at Haigh Woodland Park with the council’s Active Inclusive Wigan

The sessions include nature walks, adventure golf, arts & crafts and more, and are designed for older adults, including (but not only) those living with dementia and their friends. All sessions are full accessible, too, so suitable for wheelchair and walking frame users.

Booking is essential as places are limited, and you can reserve your places one week before each session by emailing activeinclusive@bewellwigan.gov.uk or checking the council’s website.

As well as being active and engaging, the sessions are sociable too, with tea and coffee available afterwards offering a chance to chat and get to know others.

If you would like to find out more please contact the Active Inclusive team by emailing:
activeinclusive@bewellwigan.gov.uk, or take a look at their website.
