Forget Me Not Café returns

by Editor

After more than two years away, a popular social group for people in Lowton and Golborne is looking forward to meeting again.

The Forget Me Not Café concept started as a dementia support group in 2019. It invited anyone with dementia, as well as their loved ones, to come down once a month to meet others and enjoy some social interaction.

Soon, Forget Me Not Café became an important source of support and community for people living in Lowton and Golborne – and it widened out its scope to welcome anyone looking for some companionship.

Unfortunately, the pandemic put all meetings of the group on hold, but now organisers are thrilled to be re-starting the monthly meetings, which will take place at St. Thomas’ Church, Church St, Golborne, from 10am – 12pm on the fourth Saturday of every month.

So why not come along to their first meeting back, on Saturday, June 25. You’ll be guaranteed a friendly welcome, a listening ear and something warm to eat and drink.
