Eating, drinking and being merry is at the heart of all our Christmas celebrations – and at this time of year we’d usually be looking forward to meals out with friends, families and workmates.
This year, of course, the coronavirus restrictions might make it more difficult to get together – but it is still possible to enjoy the good food, drink and festive atmosphere being offered by the wonderful pubs, restaurants and cafes and coffee houses locally.
So – if you’re looking for somewhere to take your household or bubble out for a bite to eat in the run up to Christmas – or even on the big day itself, take a look at our guide to local restaurants and the highlights on their seasonal menus (starting with our site sponsors – thank you!).
Duncan’s Kitchen at The Rams Head, Lowton

If you aren’t able to come out and dine with Duncan’s Kitchen at the Ram’s Head – all is not lost. They do a takeout menu and are even planning to offer a ‘Christmas dinner at home’ package if Covid means they can’t open on the big day. It’ll mean you still get a delicious meal – and no peeling spuds and trimming sprouts on Christmas Eve! Find out more on their Facebook page.
