Following a rise in coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester the Government has again announced additional restrictions – which this time DO apply to Lowton and Golborne, as part of Wigan Borough.
What are the new restrictions?
- We are not allowed to gather in a private dwelling or garden with any other household.
- We are not allowed to visit people in private dwellings or gardens in other areas.
But – we are still allowed to meet as a group of up to six in indoor Covid-secure hospitality settings (pubs, restaurants or outdoors).
What about support bubbles?
Support bubbles can continue and are not affected by the new rules and friends. A support bubble is when one household teams up with another household which only has one adult member. It must be an exclusive relationship, and neither household can also be in a bubble with anyone else.
Can a family member still pick my child up from school or look after them while I work?
The Government has confirmed that family can still provide informal childcare for children under 14.
